孙阳他出生于1991年12月1日在杭州浙江省。
他是一个中国奥运距离游泳运动员打破世界纪录。中国在2008年奥运会上他游。在2010年的亚运会他赢得了男子1500米自由泳的亚洲纪录;这游泳和他的另外两个奥运会金牌被引用在他被任命为今年的新秀在2010年央视体育奖项。
在2011年的世界锦标赛上太阳打破了1500米自由泳世界纪录2001年由格兰特哈科特和最长的世界记录在游泳的时候坏了唯一的男子游泳记录没有被殴打在科技时代。他赢得了400米和1500米自由泳在2012年的夏季奥运会成为第一个获得奥运金牌的中国男子游泳。
在2012年奥运会上他是一个两位男游泳赢得两个人冠军另一个是迈克尔·菲尔普斯。
